brief testimony

David
God has blessed me to be born into a pastor’s family. He gave me the privilege of knowing Jesus and His love from a young age. When I was in middle school, I truly realized the love of Jesus Christ for me and accepted Him as my Savior and my Lord. Growing up in South Korea, public education was the only option for me. Learning at public school, I could see that it was completely opposed to the Christian life. I also could see why many students leave the church and abandon the Christian faith when they become college students. I shared the gospel with many of my friends, but many of them fall away from the faith because they were confused between the ideas and beliefs taught in public education.

I asked God what He wanted me to do, and He continued to burden me to reach the next generation with the love of Jesus Christ. God led me to study education at Crown College of the Bible, a school founded on the same faith, and there I learned [ that true education leads children to Christ. After that, the Lord allowed me to join the Korean Marine corps and there I was able to gain a variety of management skills and evangelistic opportunities. Later on, God allowed me to gain experience in education by working as a teacher in various educational institutions. God also gave me to lead the children’s ministries at my home church in Korea. Through spending time with the Lord, my family and I wanted to be better equipped to reach the youth in Korea, so God led me to study the Master of Educational Leadership at Pensacola Christian College. He also gave me a privilege to be a part of Smyrna Baptist Church, where I am preparing to be sent to the mission field under the leadership of Pastor Bill Adams.

Grace
God allowed me to hear the gospel as a child and to grow up in the church, but I had a very confusing teenage years between the different cultures and beliefs of public education. It was a very hard time for me, but God continued to draw me closer to Him and helped me study at Bible College. While serving on the college tour group, God helped me to realize that I had never personally made Him as my Lord and Savior, and it was during this time that I truly came to believe Jesus’ love was for me. God has also placed a burden on my heart to reach the next generation. It became my ministry objective to see the next generation growing up healthy in the Word of God, so that they would know the love of Jesus Christ and not go through the same confusing adolescence I had. The Lord solidified my vision when I met my husband.

Prayer Request

N

Please pray that God opens children’s hearts in Korea

Due to the influence of various media,
children’s hearts are hostile to the gospel.
Please pray that their hearts will be opened as we reach out with the Gospel.

N

Please pray that God provides a place for a Christian school

There is currently no Christian school in our region,
and we need a place for Christian education
where children can be nurtured in God’s Word and grow spiritually and physically as strong soldiers of Christ.

N

Please pray for more teachers to join the Christian school and camp ministry

We need teachers and staff who are saved, trained, and have God’s calling to evangelize the next generation in Korea. We plan to use English Christian curriculum, so we also need native teachers. Please pray that God will add faithful faculty and staff.
